Maricé Leal

Maricé is a Coastal Wetlands Strategy Associate at The Nature Conservancy. She works as a project manager and coordinator for several of TNC’s mangrove restoration and community livelihood projects around the globe. Maricé is also part of the coordinating team of the Global Mangrove Alliance, and is assisting with development of the Global Mangrove Watch platform.

Maricé is based in South Florida, where she was captivated by the world of mangroves during her time at Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay campus. She has a background in biology and a passion for education, having worked as a Life Science and Physical Science teacher before beginning her career with TNC.
