María Claudia Diazgranados

María Claudia Diazgranados is a marine biologist at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University with 15 years of research and management experience with an emphasis on threatened freshwater and marine species including sharks, turtles, corals, and migratory birds. In addition, she has supported environmental education and work with indigenous communities. Currently she leads the Marine Conservation International Program in Colombia, especially focused on the Pacific coast region, and manages the relationship with international actors such as the United States Atmospheric and Oceanic Agency (NOAA), the International Whaling Commission, the Inter-American Convention for the Conservation of Sea Turtles and the Permanent Commission of the South Pacific.
