Why Join?

All members of the Global Mangrove Alliance enjoy opportunities to contribute to, and benefit from, the collaborative spirit with which the Alliance is organized and run. In addition to joining efforts to raise the profile of mangroves and the threats facing these tropical ecosystems, members may collaborate on field work, policy initiatives, and campaigns. There is also coordinated activity amongst members before and during events, including international meetings, conferences and workshops. Working Groups and National Chapters – open only to members of the Global Mangrove Alliance – lead on the development of communication and outreach strategies as well as science and knowledge sharing. 

How to Join

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Global Mangrove Alliance, please review the Terms of Participation and complete and submit the form below. The membership team will be in touch with further questions if needed to determine membership. The Global Mangrove Alliance may accept applications from a government, inter-governmental organization or non-governmental organization. If you have any questions, please contact membership@mangrovealliance.org to set up a time to discuss membership opportunities. 

Interested in Participating as a non-Member? 

If you feel membership is not appropriate or possible, but want to be involved with the Alliance, you can support the Global Mangrove Alliance as an Endorser. By endorsing the Global Mangrove Alliance, you do not formally commit to the Global Mangrove Alliance targets, but instead provide support through endorsement to achieving the global target and sub-objectives of the Global Mangrove Alliance.
